Kuester. Mesich, Minton, <br />and Thompson <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Steven B. Ach, City Planner; Scott Harlicker, Assistant Planner; <br />Steve Rohlf, Building and Zoning Administrator; Dave Sellergren, <br />City Attorney; Debbie Kleckner. Recording Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Planning <br />Commission was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Anderson. <br /> <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER THOMPSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE APRIL 22, 1997 PLANNING <br />COMMISSION AGENDA. COMMISSIONER KUESTER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER THOMPSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE 3/25/97 PLANNING <br />COMMISSION MINUTES. COMMISSIONER MINTON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Minton will attend the May 19.1997 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />Staff report by Scott Harlicker. Camas Minnesota, Inc. is requesting a conditional <br />use permit for the construction of a masonry block manufacturing plant, and a <br />minor expansion to the existing plant located at 11717 2051h Avenue. The 25' by <br />190' (4.750 sq. ft.) expansion to the existing plant will house blowers to cure <br />concrete blocks. The new 220' by 185' (40,700 sq. ft.) block manufacturing plant <br />will be located to the north or rear of the existing facility. Plans for a second <br />access from County Road 32 have been forwarded to the county engineer for <br />comment. Scott reviewed plans for an additional driveway, paving. and <br />landscaping improvements proposed by the applicant. <br /> <br />Chair Anderson opened the public hearing. <br />
