With Council agreement, we went to market and received
six applications, all of which were qualified. We offered interviews to all six and following background, reference,
and pre-employment checks and tests, we recommend Tyler Hall for this position.

Mr. Hall holds a Class B Wastewater Operator’s Certificate and has worked as an operator for 12 years. He also
has a Class B Commercial Driver’s License.

Mr. Hall will start at step C of pay grade 4N. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.

Financial Impact
2022 funds budgeted for the maintenance operator position fall about $700 short of covering this position. The
shortage will be absorbed within the wastewater budget.

Mission/Policy/Goal
NA

Attachments
None

The Elk River Vision
A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional

service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity.
Updated: August 2020
