<br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council 4.6 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent January 18, 2022 Tim Sevcik, Street and Park Superintendent <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />2022 Equipment Replacement Fund Purchases Justin Femrite, Public Works Director <br />Reviewed by <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Approve, by motion, the 2022 Street Maintenance Division equipment replacement fund purchases. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The Street Maintenance Division requests authorization to proceed with equipment replacement for the listed <br />pieces of equipment approved in the 2022 Equipment Replacement Fund. All equipment purchases will be made <br />utilizing current state contract pricing from multiple vendors. <br /> <br />Division Unit # Description Vendor Vendor Price Total Unit Price <br />Streets 240 Mack Granite Cab/Chassis Nuss Trucks $133,068 TBD <br />Towmaster Body and Falls Plow Towmaster TBD <br />Streets 318 Cat 930M Loader Ziegler Cat $214,956 $214,956 <br /> <br />Current pricing for the buildout of Unit 240 with the Towmaster Body and Falls Plow equipment is not available <br />due to current supply chain shortages; it is anticipated the new state contract pricing for this buildout will be <br />released in June of 2022. <br /> <br />The replacement of Unit 240 was budgeted for $265,000 and Unit 318 for $230,000.
