In
accordance with city ordinance, public hearing notices were sent to all property owners within 500 feet of the
subject parcel. After the notices were received by the neighbors, staff received numerous comments and concerns
regarding the history of this parcel along with adjacent parcels.

In order to review the comments and complete necessary parcel history research on adjacent lots, staff informed
the applicant that we would delay the public hearing two weeks to provide additional time for the necessary work.

Staff recommends continuing the public hearing to Tuesday, January 18, 2022. A letter was sent to everyone
within the public hearing radius informing them of the delay. However, anyone present for comments on January
3, 2022, should have the opportunity to speak.

Mission/Policy/Goal
Support citizen quality of life.

Attachments
None

The Elk River Vision
A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional

service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity.
Updated: August 2020
