Meeting of the <br />Heritage Preservation Commission <br />Elk River City Hall <br />Thursday, September 16, 2021 <br />Members Present: Chair Lance Lindberg, Commissioners Michele Cole, Joshua Fox, <br />Zachary Griffiths, Tony Mauren, and Debra Mortensen <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Mike Hangaard <br />Others Present: Planning Manager Zack Carlton and Councilmember Garrett <br />Christianson <br />I . Call Meeting to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Heritage Preservation <br />Commission was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Chair Lindberg. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />3. Consider September 16, 2021, Agenda <br />Moved by Commissioner Mauren and seconded by Commissioner Fox to <br />approve the September 16, 2021, agenda. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br />4. Minutes of July 15, 2021, Heritage Preservation Commission meeting <br />Moved by Commissioner Cole and seconded by Commissioner Mauren to <br />approve the July 15, 2021, meeting minutes. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br />5.1 Elk River Documentary <br />Commissioner Griffiths reviewed the progress on the documentary. He has been <br />working with city staff to complete a variety of b -role footage that will be used in the <br />documentary and expects to have all the footage needed later this year. <br />Commissioner Griffiths also discussed the costs associated with purchasing photos <br />from the Sherburne County History Center to be used in the documentary. He noted <br />the costs are quite high and may explore other options for acquiring the necessary <br />photos. <br />
