<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 85-11 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1188.16 <br />OF THE CITY ORDINANCES REGARDING <br />SNOW REMOVAL PARKING <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1 That Section 1188.16 of the City of Elk River Code <br />of Ordinances titled "Snow Removal Parking" be amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. Public safety requires the rapid and efficient removal of <br />snow or ice from City streets, public highways or other <br />thoroughfares. No person shall stop, stand, or park any <br />vehicle or permit it to stand on any street in the City of <br />Elk River between the hours of 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. on any day <br />between November 15 and April 15. <br /> <br />2. Exceptions. Police cars, hearses, ambulances, and fire <br />department vehicles and vehicles responding to emergency <br />calls are excepted from this prohibition. Vehicles called <br />out for emergency repairs to electric light and power lines, <br />telephone lines, natural gas and sewer and water systems are <br />also exceptions. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The police department or authorized representative of the <br />City is hereby authorized to remove such vehicle from the <br />street and to store the same for the owner thereof, such <br />removal and storage charge to be paid by the owner of such <br />vehicle. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full <br />force from the date of January 1 ,1986. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of December, 1985. <br /> <br />(2L/---~~ <br /> <br />Richard Hinkle, Mayor <br /> <br />
