The applicant shall receive a commercial kennel license from the <br />city. <br />2. No more than six (6) animal units shall be allowed outdoors at <br />once. CR 33 _ <br />3. The number of dogs permitted for boarding shall be limited to <br />three (3), this is in addition to the owner's animals. <br />4. The removal of animal waste shall comply with Section 10-5. <br />5. No more than two (2) animals per supervisor shall be allowed I RR <br />outside of the fenced area. <br />6. The backyard fencing shall be maintained at all times. <br />tiw <br />Background/Discussion <br />CU 21-09 <br />The property is zoned R1-a (single family residential) where Figure I <br />Commercial Kennels require a Conditional Use Permit (CUP). The ordinance defines a Commercial Kennel as any <br />premise where more than six (6) domestic animal units, over the age of six (6) months, are boarded, trained, or <br />bred for compensation, except for animals being raised as agricultural animals, an animal hospital, a veterinary <br />clinic, or a pet shop.
