______________________________________________________________________________ Page 1 of 2 UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING TO: ERMU Commission FROM: Chris Sumstad – Electric Superintendent MEETING DATE: July 13, 2021 AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: 6.1h SUBJECT: Staff Update ACTION REQUESTED: None DISCUSSION: • Installed 15 new residential services, which involves the connection of a secondary line once the customer requests service. • Work continues for the County State Aid Highway 13 overhead line reroute. Crews are tearing down the old line in the first section and will be starting the second section soon. This overhead feeder line had to be moved for work scheduled to begin soon between Line and Tyler Avenues. • Highway 169 Redefine work continues. We have installed new 500 MCM underground line on the west side of Highway 169 between 197th and 201st Avenues. This will take the place of overhead feeder line that runs along the highway now. We are also installing 500 MCM underground and many new electric boxes on the east side of 169 to replace the overhead feeder line that needs to be removed between Menards and 201st Avenue NW. • Three phase service for a 90-unit apartment complex in Otsego has been completed. • We are currently working on installing new three phase services for two commercial customers east of Highway 169 and the Windsor Park lift station. • Installed the wire and transformer for three phase service at a new 65-unit apartment near 197th Avenue NW and Highway 169. • Installed a new single phase transformer and service for the irrigation system at County Road 39 and Parrish Avenue. • Completed the wire installation and set the transformer at the Elk River High School football stadium. 127
