UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Michelle Canterbury– Executive Administrative Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />June 8, 2021 6.1f <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> The annual commissioner self-evaluation will be conducted during the July 13 <br />commission meeting. Questions for the evaluation will be sent out in advance via Survey <br />Monkey.Based on last year’s feedback from the Commission, a year-to-year comparison <br />will be providedfor review and discussion. Staff will be emailing out a link to the survey <br />towards the end of June. <br /> <br /> The June bill insert is the Summer Energy Saving Checklist. The Checklist was developed <br />to help educate customers on the steps they can take to reduce their energy <br />consumption and save money. The flier also spotlightsadditional ERMUresources that <br />are available for customers wanting to learn more about energy conservation and best <br />practices. Attached is a copy of the billinsert. <br /> <br /> In June commercial electric customers will be receiving the Clean Energy Choice for <br />Business insert through a special mailing process that sends it separately from the bill. <br />Our goal for utilizing this process is to get information about the program into the hands <br />of decisionmakers versus the accounts payable department. Attached is a copy of the <br />promotional flyer. <br /> <br /> May and June social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: the new Wi-Fi <br />thermostat rebates, the benefits of cordless electric lawnmowers, energy efficient <br />heating, ventilation, HVAC rebates, 811 CallBefore You Dig, 2020Water Quality Report, <br />recognition of the 2020 Certificate of Excellence in Reliability that ERMU recently <br />received, and announcements such as upcoming commission meeting dates, holiday <br />business closures, and trash pickup delays. <br /> <br /> In preparation for the 2021 Sherburne County Fair, we have registered Eddy the EV and <br />one of our Bucket Trucks for the parade taking place Saturday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. This <br />year’s theme is “Celebrating 165 Years of Sherburne County.” This is such a fun <br />community event, and we are really looking forward to being able to participate once <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />93 <br />
