Both Commissioner Mary Stewart and I were in
attendance. A public summary of the meeting is below.
o The Board discussed the statusof theAgency’s renewable project.
o The Board discussed MMPA’s initiative regarding electric vehicles.
o The Board received an update regarding the Agency’s virtual Spring 2021 Energy
Education program for member and project host communities.
o There was an increase of 54 customers participating in MMPA’s residential Clean
Energy Choice program from March to April. Customer penetration of the
program for residential customers increased to 3.7%.
From June 20 to 23 I will be attending the APPA Summer Conference meeting in
Orlando, FL. This conference was virtual last year, and they are excited to be able to
host it in person for 2021. APPA is requiring multiple safety protocols for attendees,
including wearing masks, completing health questionnaires before the conference and
each day of the event, and completing a Duty of Care Agreement and Waiver. I will still
be able to check emails and returnsomephone calls, however if an emergency presents
itself, Tom Geiser will be available in my absence.
Staff transitioned back to in-office work on June 1, with some remote work still
occurring on a variable basis as coordinated with the supervisors. At the plant, starting
June 1 the morning meeting is occurring with all staff in one room, and most everyone is
having lunch together. As staff are interacting out in the community, they are asking
about mask preference and responding appropriately.
The Wage & Benefits Committee met to review Vacation and Longevity Pay options and
will bring recommendations to the Commission at the July meeting.
______________________________________________________________________________
Page 1 of 1
