Renner & Sons <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Reviewed by <br />Action Requested <br />Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging the labor and equipment donation with a value of $8,200 from <br />E.H. Renner & Sons. <br />Background/Discussion <br />As part of the Youth Athletic Complex (YAC) restroom and concession building project, staff was tasked to find <br />whether the well near the concession building could be improved to a potable water well. After conversations with <br />E.H. Renner & Sons and the Minnesota Department of Health, an inspection found the bottom 40 feet had <br />become filled with sediment and needed re -excavation. Roger Renner volunteered the services of his company re - <br />excavate the well back to its original depth. <br />Mr. Renner performed the necessary work and wishes to donate a portion of his labor and equipment usage to the <br />city to correct the original deficiencies of the well. <br />The inspection also found that the well pump motor, originally installed in 1998, needed replacement.
