______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> <br />TO: <br />ERMU Commission <br />FROM: <br />Chris Sumstad – Electric Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: <br />May 11, 2021 <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />6.1h <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Installed 12 new residential services, which involves the connection of a secondary line <br />once the customer requests service. <br /> <br />• Finished the County Road 35 overhead rebuild job. <br /> <br />• Tree trimmed along County Road 13 to make room for overhead line that will need to <br />be rebuilt due to the road construction project scheduled to begin in July. The line will <br />be rebuilt prior to the construction start date. <br /> <br />• Started taking down the Highway 10 median lights which need to be removed for the <br />Highway 10 reconstruction project. The lights will be reinstalled this fall when the <br />project is complete. <br /> <br />• Working on the plant feeder project. Bore crew and line crews have been working on <br />installation of the new feeder line to Highway 10, as well as new underground wire to <br />feed surrounding homes near the plant. <br /> <br />• Installed 600 feet of 4/0 underground primary wire for a new customer along 163 rd <br />Avenue near Jarvis Street. <br /> <br />• Removed the existing transformer and abandoned wire running along the south side of <br />the Elk River football stadium. A new transformer and wire will be installed as soon as <br />the new stadium construction allows. <br /> <br />• The City’s Fleet Maintenance Division completed the DOT annual inspections on our <br />trucks and trailers. <br />290
