<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 87-56 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A VARIANCE <br />TO THE MUNICIPAL STATE AID REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Elk River is considering a Municipal State <br />Aid improvement project on Jackson Avenue (MSAS*104) <br />between Main Street and T.H. 10; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />part of the consideration in the design of the <br />improvement will be sidewalk width in the downtown <br />area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Elk River, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The City of Elk River, hereby, requests a variance <br />to Minnesota Department of Transportation State Aid <br />Operations requirement 8820.9916 Minimum Design <br />Standards for 45 Degree and 60 Degree Diagonal <br />Parking. <br /> <br />2. Specifically, the City of Elk River requests a <br />variance to reduce the traffic aisle width from <br />25.2 feet to 22.2 feet on Jackson Avenue, a street <br />with a present ADT of over 3,000, on which 45 <br />degree diagonal parking is allowed. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 28th day of <br />September, 1987. <br /> <br />~ffL!t c: ~ <br /> <br />Estelle E.
