<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 87- 8 <br /> <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE MINNESOTA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION <br />1987 LEGISLATIVE PLATFORM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Library Association (MLA) has adopted a <br />1987 Legislative Platform calling for the continued <br />funding of existing library programs and for new <br />Legislative initiatives relating to public library <br />services, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Elk River Library Board has reviewed the MLA 1987 <br />Legislative Platform and found MLA position to be in <br />the best interest of the Elk River Public Library, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Elk River Public Library Board has passed a motion <br />requesting the Elk River City Council to support the <br />1987 MLA Legislative Platform, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council has reviewed the MLA 1987 <br />Legislative Platform and has found this position to be <br />in the best interest of the City of Elk River and the <br />Elk River Public Library. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Elk River that the City supports and endorses the MLA <br />1987 Legislative Platform as adopted by the MLA Board <br />on November 21, 1986. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City Council this <br />2nd day of February, 1987. <br /> <br />FtM --'" d:b~ <br />((J.i ( -. . <br />Estelle E.
