<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 86-85 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION FOR THE <br />DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MR. LEROY PIKE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Leroy Pike served as street maintenance worker for <br />the City of Elk River for 24 years and 6 months, from <br />May 1962 to October 31, 1986; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after working 24 1/2 years, he retired with 2,112 hours <br />of accumulated sick leave; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Leroy Pike has spent the majority of his time <br />maintaining the streets and roadways in the City for <br />the safety and well-being of the citizens; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks required in his position as <br />street maintenance worker contributed substantially to <br />the safety and well-being of the traveling public of <br />the City of Elk River; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, his service to the community merits the gratitude of <br />the residents of the City of Elk River; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his outstanding service to <br />the City of Elk River should be recognized and <br />expressed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Elk River, Minnesota, that on behalf of the residents <br />of the City of Elk River, the dedicated public service <br />of Mr. Leroy Pike is hereby recognized and appreciated. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 24th day of <br />November, 1986. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Richard Hinkle, Mayor <br /> <br />Patrick D.
