With that approval finalized, they need an updated Mineral Excavation License to begin
operations at PID 75-116-4400 (Hipsag property). Aggregate Industries plans to begin mining this parcel later this
spring.

Annual mining licenses are valid July-June, meaning this short-term license must be approved for spring
operations on the newly permitted site. The annual license will be issued in June and will include the additional 10-
acre parcel. Since this is a short term license the license fee will be prorated for 4-months.

Financial Impact
None

Mission/Policy/Goal
Meet changing needs

Attachments
 2020 Mineral Excavation License for Aggregate Industries PID 75-116-4400

The Elk River Vision
A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional

service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity.
Updated: August 2020
