Rather than <br />schedule a special meeting, staff is proposing conducting the orientation at the March 9, <br />2021 Regular Commission Meeting. If there are any specific topics or training the <br />commission would like covered, please let staff know. Also, please be sure to bring your <br />Governance Commission Policy ring binger to the orientation as we will be updating any <br />policies that have been added or changed over the past year. <br /> <br />• Inserts for the February billings include a promotional flyer for Automatic Bill Payment, <br />and our Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Program. Attached are copies of the two bill <br />inserts. <br /> <br />• January and February social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: bad <br />home heating habits - saving energy while staying comfortable, sign up for automatic <br />bill pay and receive a $5 credit, ERMU’s EV charging program featuring an affordable <br />time-of-use rate and up to a $500 rebate towards the purchase of an in home EV <br />charger, and several public service announcements such as dates of upcoming <br />commission meetings and holiday business closures. <br /> <br />• This month’s featured social media post is The Cost of Doing Nothing: LED Lighting <br />Upgrade. While typically our social media posts are geared more towards our residential <br />customers, we are always looking at ways to educate our commercial customers and <br />earn their attention on social media. This month’s featured post includes a video geared <br />towards businesses that are considering upgrading to LED lighting, but are worried it’s <br />too costly. The video shines a light on how much it costs a business to NOT upgrade. The <br />video link is provided below. <br /> <br />• The Communications Department has been busy working on the 2020 Annual Report <br />and anticipates having it completed in time to go out with the March billings. <br /> <br />123
