<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 85-28 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATIONS AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE <br />OF LIGHTS FOR COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY #42 BRIDGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Minnesota Law provides that purchases for goods of $15,000 or less may <br />be purchased by receiving informal quotations; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Elk River has received the following quotations for the <br />purchase of lighting for the County State Aid Highway #42 Bridge: <br /> <br /> 30' GALVANIZED <br />BIDDER STEEL POLE <br />Millerbemd $420 each <br />Wesco $523 each <br />Graybar does not bid poles <br /> <br />250 WATT, 120 VOLT <br />HIGH PRESSURE - <br />SODIUM LAMP <br /> <br />does not bid lights <br /> <br />$106.00 each <br /> <br />$139.00 each <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the quotation received from Mi11erbemd Company of Rogers, MN appears <br />to be the lowest quotation for the light poles; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the quotation received from Wesco appears to be the lowest quotation <br />received for the lights; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Elk River has determined that it is in <br />the best interest of the City of Elk River to accept the quotation for <br />the poles from Mi11erbernd Company in the amount of $1,680, and for the <br />lights from Wesco in the amount of $424. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River that <br />the quotation of Mi11erbemd Company in the amount of $1,680 and the <br />quotation from Wesco in the amount of $424 are hereby accepted, and the <br />Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute a contract <br />for the purchase of said lighting. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the expenditure of $100 is hereby authorized for <br />miscellaneous costs related to installation of the lighting which will <br />be installed by the Public Utilities Commission. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funds for the project will be obtained from the <br />City's MSA maintenance Fund. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 22nd day of July, 1985. <br /> <br />2 <br />/.~ ,. .
