<br />RESOLUTION 85-23 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT FOR WATER TOWER CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for construction of a water tower, <br />bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the City Clerk and City <br />Engineer, on June 24, 1985, said bids were as follows: <br /> <br />Na-Con Services, Inc. <br /> <br />750,000 gallon hydropillar <br />1,000,000 gallon hydro pillar <br />750,000 gallon hydropillar <br />1,000,000 gallon hydropillar <br /> <br />$453,340.00 <br />$537,245.00 <br />$445,100.00 <br />$566,400.00 <br /> <br />Hydrostorage, Inc. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Hydrostorage, Inc. of Des Moines, Iowa is the lowest re- <br />sponsible bidder for a 1,000tOOO gallon water tower. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed into <br />a contract in the amount of $537,245.00 with Hydrostorage, Inc. of <br />Des Moines, Iowa in the name of the City of Elk River for construction <br />of a 1,000,000 hydropillar water tower according to the plans and specifi- <br />cations therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office <br />of the City Clerk. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to retain the bid bond deposits made <br />with the bids for the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder until <br />contract has been signed. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this First Day of July, 1985. <br /> <br />~. .--.-) /; .
