<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 85-14 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE NEED FOR NEW AND IMPROVED CITY FACILITIES. CALLING <br />FOR A REFERENDUM, SETTING JUNE 25, 1985 AS THE ELECTION DATE AND DETERMINING THE <br />QUESTION TO BE VOTED ON. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council has studied the need for additional and <br />improved City Facilities, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council hereby determines that the existing City facilities <br />are inadequate and that a need exists to: <br /> <br />a. Build a new Public Works Garage <br />b. Remodel and improve the existing City Hall, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a favorable Public Referendum is necessary in order to issue General <br />Obligation bonds to fund such needed facilities, <br /> <br />NOW THERE BE IT RESOLVED that there is a need for a Public Works Garage and a <br />remodeled and improved City Hall, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a Public Referendum be held at a special election to <br />be conducted on Tuesday, June 25, 1985, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the question to be asked be in essenctially the following <br />form: <br /> <br />Shall the City of Elk River issue its General Obligation bonds in an <br />amount not to exceed Nine Hundred, Fifty Thousand dollars ($950,000) <br />for the purpose of providing money for improving Municipal facilities <br />by constructing a new Public Works garage and remodeling the existing <br />City Hall. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City personnel prepare Ithe necessary notices, required <br />election materials, and conduct said eleqtion. <br /> <br />Adopted this 6th <br /> <br />day of May <br /> <br />1985. <br /> <br />----" <br /> <br />:/-:'-r-/) < b;'> ':; / ..' </, <br />>.....=/...-~..._~.-<~::.:::=:,,/9L-r1C.~..,tr. <br />Richard Hinkle, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />
