<br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council 4.3 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent February 1, 2021 Lauren Wipper, Human Resources Manager <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Amend Resolution 20-100, 2021 Compensation Mark Dickinson, Fire Chief <br />Plan <br />Reviewed by <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Adopt, by motion, an amendment to Resolution 20-100, 2021 Compensation Plan for Non-Organized Employees. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />Resolution 20-100, 2021 Compensation Plan for Non-Organized Employees, was adopted by the City Council on <br />December 21, 2020. <br /> <br />During the Council work sessions on January 4, 2021, and January 19, 2021, Fire Chief Mark Dickinson presented, <br />and City Council indicated a consensus to a change to the pay structure for paid on-call firefighters. <br /> <br />This amendment changes the firefighter pay structure retroactive to January 1, 2021. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />Estimated financial impact is $17,000. This was calculated using 2020 calls with the new pay rates. As there are <br />many variables related to the calls that come in and the response required, the true impact of this change is <br />unknown.
