UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Tom Sagstetter – Conservation & Key Accounts Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />January 12, 2021 6.1e <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> In the last 30 days, the level two charger located downtown had 23 sessions and <br />provided customers with 599kWh of green energy. The DC fast charger at the Coborn’s <br />fuel station had 26 sessions and provided339 kWh. The charger in the ERMU/City Hall <br />parking lot had10 sessions and provided customers with 152kWh. There was a totalof <br />61 charging sessions and 1,090 kWh of energy provided over the last 30 days. This is the <br />first time ERMU has sold over 1,000 kWh from the public charging stations. <br /> <br /> The Drive Electric Minnesota Policy Group met to discuss the 2021 policy positions. The <br />drafted policies focus on providing incentive options for electric vehicles (EV) and <br />charging infrastructure, adopting a statewide clean fuels policy, equitable taxation of <br />EVs, and incorporating more EVs in transit buses and the State’s fleet. <br /> <br /> Staff is continuing to work with Waste Management and McGrann, Shea, Carnival, <br />Straughn & Lamb legal services on the contracts for future operation of the landfill-gas- <br />to-electric plant. <br /> <br /> Staff completed revisions for the 2021 commercial rebate applications and energy <br />savings calculations. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />99 <br />
