UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Theresa Slominski –General Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />January 12,2021 6.1a <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> TheBoard of Director of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA) met virtually <br />on December 22, 2020. Both Commissioner Mary Stewart and I were in attendance. As <br />reported in the mid-month memo, the Agency approved a zero percent rate increasefor <br />2021. <br /> <br />I am still working with HRExpertise consultant, Debra Englund, to implement a <br />leadership training program inhouse, specific to our next level of leaders to be <br />developed, per the Organizational Effectiveness Survey initiative. <br /> <br /> On January 6, I participated in a Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Virtual 2021 Session <br />Priorities event with Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka, Senate Minority Leader Susan <br />Kent, Speaker of the House Melissa Hortman, and House Minority Leader Kurt Daudt. <br />On the subject of energy priorities, each was asked for a three-word focus and three of <br />the four individuals stated clean energy as their energy focus.
