<br />. <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 89 - 46 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OPPOSING CHANGES IN THE <br />CHARITABLE GAMBLING LAWS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River, during City Council meetings, <br />review various local charitable gambling request; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River supports the charitable gambling <br />activities of the various local and nonprofit <br />organizations operating within the City of Elk River; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the benefit received by financial support of local <br />charitable gambling activities is significant to such <br />organizations as the Chamber of Commerce, Land 0' Lakes <br />Choirboys, the Senior Citizens, the City, etc. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City .Gouncil of the City of <br />Elk River that the City Council opposes any changes in <br />the Charitable Gambling Law that would reduce the funds <br />available for public activities. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River <br />. this 10 day of July, 1989. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />1.;o~}Jc ilmembe r <br />&~r <br />Councilmemb <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~~J!
