UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Michelle Canterbury Executive Administrative Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />December 8, 2020 6.1f <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br />With the rise in COVID-19 cases, staff has been making arrangements for the December <br />8 commission meeting, which will be conducted exclusively by telephone or other <br />electronic means. Special meeting notices and provisions will need to be made to offer <br />the public a way to monitor the meeting and provide public comment. Testing and <br />training on the use of teleconferencing software will also be a focus for the <br />administration and communications department. <br /> <br />The 2021 Energy Efficient Appliance Rebates and 2021 LED Light Rebate Coupons will be <br />going out to customers with the December bills. These two rebate programs are very <br />popular with our customers, which is one of the reasons we send them out the month <br />before the new year begins. Attached are copies of the two bill inserts. <br /> <br />November and December social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: an <br />update on ERMUs field services facility construction project; video: does changing your <br />furnace filter really save energy?; availability of 2021 recycling schedules; and several <br />public service announcements such as dates of upcoming commission meetings, holiday <br />business closures, and trash pickup delays. <br /> <br />This months featured social media post ERMU Reduces Paper Use. As part of our <br />communications efforts to spotlight different departments within our organization, this <br />months post shares how the accounting department has worked to align their <br />operating procedures withour mission, vision, and values. Click here to view the post <br />and a fun six second video the communications department created. <br /> <br />The Communications Coordinator and Conservation & Key Accounts Manager met at the <br />end of November to discuss the 2021 marketing plan for bill inserts.
