VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING July 6, 1964 The regular meeting of the Elk River village council was held at the village hall on July 6, 1964. All members were present except Bartelt who was absent. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Johnson, the minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Evan Higgins of Minneapolis demonstrated a street sweeper to the council. The price was to be $1494.00 complete. Motion by Briggs and second by Norris to approve easement of Sherburne County for storm sewer outlet to Lake Orono. Motion carried. Lester Derr was asked to check on complaint of Pete Thomas and Mrs. Heath regarding flooding of property. Motion by Norris and second by Briggs to approve easement on School Street for water line. Carried. A motion was made by Meyer and seconded by Norris to ask Railroad and Warehouse Commission to decide the cost of signals on Proctor Ave and how this cost should be divided between the railroad companies and the village. Motion carried. (see resolutions attached).
