<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 6, 1964 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held on Apr 6, 1964 at the Village Hall. <br />Members present: Mayor Johnson, Norris, Meyer, and Briggs. Bartelt was absent. <br /> <br />Rodney Anderson was present. He would like to know what is being done on Morton Ave. and <br />what affect it will have on his property in regard to sewer and curb and gutter. He will wait until Neil <br />Laron decides to do about his development. <br /> <br />Roger Ostley and Jerry Hahola were present. They asked for a permit to move a trailer house onto <br />Ostely’s lot. The council refused the permit. <br /> <br />Neil Larson showed a tentative plat of his property showing where the senior citizens apartment <br />house will be built and the proposed streets. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Norris and second by Meyer to accept the tentative plat. Motion carried. <br /> <br />There was discussion about an extra man on the police force or making some arrangement with the <br />county for police protection. Nothing further was done at this meeting. <br /> <br />The council decided to advertise for bids for some painting and cleaning at the Liquor Store. <br /> <br />The clerk was asked to write Raymond Bernard and Galloti Bros. to clean up their properties as junk <br />yards are not allowed in the village. <br /> <br />The following bills were allowed and ordered paid: <br />Hetrick’s Station – gas, oil 74.20 <br />Clarence Kramer – janitor 7.50 <br />Herlyn Sales – repairs 16.25 <br />Oliver Micheau – maintenance 15.00 <br />Oliver Micheau – extra work 7.50 <br />Dehn’s Service – thawing 55.00 <br />Geo Moos – police 30.34 <br />Farm Bureau – gas, oil 38.81 <br />Elkrete Ready mix – gravel 34.00 <br />Tom’s Radio and T.V. – service 12.35 <br />Judy Greupner – asst 33.00 <br />Library Account – books 115.89 <br />Bob Hall – gas, service 7.50 <br />Coast to Coast – supplies 6.18 <br />Mutual Aid Assn. – fees 10.00 <br />Weber’s Texaco – gas, oil 56.40 <br />Ind. Hardsurface – thawing 16.00 <br />Gopher Stamp and Die – sign 10.33 <br />Fire Dept – fires 228.00 <br /> <br />
