<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 88 - 65 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DEFINING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CITY OF ELK <br />RIVER WATERING RESTRICTIONS FOR MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM CUSTOMERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River has expressed <br />concern over the State wide drought Minnesota is <br />experiencing and the effect this drought has on area <br />river and lake levels; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this concern has lead the City Council to adopt <br />Ordinance 88-23, an Ordinance providing the City <br />Council with the authority to issue watering <br />restrictions; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River has deemed it <br />appropriate to place a partial yard watering ban on the <br />customers of the Municipal Water System and to make <br />various exceptions to this watering ban. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Elk River that: <br /> <br />1. A yard watering ban will exist for customers of the <br />Municipal Water System from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. The direct application of water to trees, shrubs, <br />and gardens will be an exception to this watering <br />ban. <br /> <br />3. That new sod and athletic fields are an exception <br />to this watering ban. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River <br />this 10th day of August, 1988. <br /> <br />tddit c!~ ~i <br /> <br />Estelle E.
