<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 88 - 64 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN <br />A NORTHERN ACCESS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AND <br />THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to create a new City street (Deerfield <br />3rd Northern Access) which would connect with trunk <br />Highway 169; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) has <br />purchased controlled access onto trunk Highway 169 for <br />the purpose of limiting the number of entrances coming <br />into trunk Highway 169 to control 1 the overall safety <br />and capacity of said trunk Highway 169; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to cooperate with Mn/DOT in the efforts <br />to create safe trunk Highway 169 through the City. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City <br />of Elk River that the Mayor and City Administrator are <br />hereby authorized to enter into an agreement between <br />the City and Mn/DOT for the creation of a new street, <br />(Deerfield 3rd Northern Access) which would connect <br />with trunk Highway 169. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Elk River this <br />15th day of August, 1988. <br /> <br />~ ->:' J If t7 <br />, c, //.J-tA.4~L)( <br />Estelle E.
