City of " <br />ElK <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 88-44 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE SERVICE OF MARY TEMPLE <br />TO THE CITY OF ELK RIVER PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mary Temple was appointed to the City's Planning <br />Commission on April 2, 1984, and served on the Planning <br />Commission through December of 1987, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during Mary Temple's tenure as a member of the Planning <br />Commission, the City of Elk River experienced rapid <br />growth in residential, commercial, and. industrial <br />areas, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />during Mary Temple's tenure as a member of the Planning <br />Commission, the City realized substantial commercial <br />development through the Planning Commission's time <br />consuming efforts in creating a Planned Unit <br />,Development around Highway 169, south of School <br />Street, and; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that Mary's outstanding <br />service to the City of Elk River should be recognized <br />and expressed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Elk River, that Mary Temple's service to the City of <br />Elk River is hereby recognized as a significant <br />contribution towards the quality growth the City of <br />Elk River has realized, and also was a significant <br />contributing factor in making the City of Elk River a <br />more desirable City in which to live. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this sixth day <br />of June, 1988. <br /> <br />I:JJJy (;' ~A <br /> <br />Estelle E.
