UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU CommissionChris Kerzman– Engineering Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />October 13, 2020 6.1k <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> The IT/OT Technician has been working with city staff on a number of projects, including <br />planning for server and core switch replacements, continued projects with Microsoft, <br />and familiarization with fiber loop.Staffhas also been helping with network, door <br />control,camera, and security plans for the field services facility. <br /> <br />Field staff has started installation of infrastructure to prepare for the relocation of the <br />feeders on the field services property. We are getting updated transformer foundation <br />pricing and preparing for contractors to be on site. <br /> <br /> We have received updated budgetary pricing for the Field Services Facility Expansion, <br />due to increased material costs during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the large <br />amount of earthwork to be done and retaining walls to be built, we are looking into cost <br />savings. We are looking at adjusting the footprint of the building and alternative <br />locations on site that would allow for significantly less earthwork. <br /> <br /> Applications were submitted to the City for Conditional Use Permit, Easement Vacation, <br />Preliminary Plat, Final Plat, Rezoning, as well as a Variance for parking and impervious <br />surface.
