UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Thomas Geiser – Electric Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />October 13,20206.1h <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Updates <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Installed 12 new residential services, which involves the connection of a secondary line <br />once the customer requests service. <br /> <br />Staff is working on moving underground electrical boxesfor the CountyStateAid <br />Highway 12 reconstruction. <br /> <br /> Work continues on the Edison Street rebuild, which involves replacing the overhead <br />lines for underground. <br /> <br /> The underground loop for the land fill is complete, tear down of the overhead lines will <br />be done as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> Working on relocating the underground primary lines for the expansion of the fire and <br />police department building. <br /> <br />th <br /> Finished installing all the underground lines and street lighting for the 88 Street and <br />Parkview Avenue development in Otsego. <br /> <br /> Working on the final stage for the County Road 39 roundabouts in Otsego, which <br />consists of replacing the overhead line with a three-phase underground loop. <br /> <br /> Nick Hommerding’s last day was October 6. Tanner Ellis accepted the apprentice <br />lineworker position and his start date is October 19. <br /> <br /> In order to ensure the timely delivery of the replacement digger truck, budgeted for <br />purchase in 2021 and presented in the Equipment Purchases Budget last month, staff <br />will be submitting a purchase order this year.
