Agreement 2020-33 Resolution 20-61 MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT· 2021 <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into by and between the City of Elk River hereinafter referred to as the "City" <br />and the County of Wright hereinafter referred to as the "County". <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of all parties that the duties and responsibilities of both the City and <br />the County as to maintenance on Bridge #86515 and its approaches should be clearly defined. <br />NOW THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED with regard to said structure maintenance: <br />MAINTENANCE <br />CITY RESPONSIBLE FOR: <br />(1) Maintenance of street lights; <br />(2) Removal of snow from sidewalk; <br />(3)Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on north approach (includes: turf maintenance, <br />bituminous maintenance, drainage and riprap maintenance); <br />(4)Snow and ice control from bridge and approaches; <br />(5)Removal of markings/spray paint etc. from visible surfaces of bridge structure. <br />COUNTY RESPONSIBLE FOR: <br />(1)Periodic sweeping to remove sand and debris and removing sand/dirt from expansion joints; <br />(2)Signing for bridge and approaches; <br />(3)Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on south approach (includes: turf maintenance, <br />bitum inous maintenance, drainage and riprap maintenance); <br />(4)Centerline and edge pavement marking (includes stop bar). <br />The agreement between the City and County shall be for a one-year period and run from January 1, 2021, to <br />December 31, 2021. All maintenance responsibilities will be deemed "offsetting" therefore no payments will be required <br />for the individual maintenance work which conforms to the areas stated herein and performed under authorization of <br />either the City or County. <br />In the event that the structure needs major maintenance/rehabilitation an agreement detailing the work and <br />shared costs must be approved and accepted by the City and County. <br />ADOPTED: <br />_October_OS, 2020 <br />City Clerk CERTIFICATION <br />I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resol ion duly passed, adopted and approved by the <br />City Council of said City on October 05, 2020. <br />2-Z-'l{Name of ity <br />Date <br />Date
