<br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 2, 1946 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the municipal building on <br />December 2, 1946 with the following members present: Leger, Skellenger, Kramer and Briggs. <br />Trustee Leger called the meeting to order in the absence of Mayor Davidson. <br /> <br />Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />Lawerence E. Shaughnessy of the Park-Shaughnessy Finance Co. of St. Paul consulted with the <br />Council regard to financing the revenue bonds for the diesel engines. <br /> <br />Applications for the building permits filed by ? Millhouse and Walter Johnson were up for <br />consideration and upon motion by Skellenger and second by Kramer both applications were <br />approved. <br /> <br />The following board for the Village Election was approved by the Council: <br /> <br />Judges: E.W. Dickey, Charles Brown and Mrs. Kaliher <br />Clerks: Edna Gibbs, Eva Bernier. <br /> <br />The following bills were allowed and ordered paid: <br /> <br />Elk River Pub. Utilities – Street Work 4 mo. $308.70 <br />Elk River Pub. Utilities - Elec. Bill for May. $204.20 <br />First Nat’l Bank – Ins. on truck $10.10 <br />First Nat’l Bank – Ins. on concession stand $6.65 <br />Leger Truck Line – Freight $1.54 <br />Fire Department – Services $19.50 <br />Roggatz Pure Oil – Repairs and gas $8.03 <br />Dr. E. L. Clothier – Case of jail inmate $4.00 <br />Charles M. Nelson – Nov. Salary and Car $147.50 <br />Hugh Oenes – Deputy Marshall $154.73 <br />N.W. Bell Telephone Co. – Nov. $11.85 <br />Elk Café – Meals and ticket – Transient $2.74 <br /> <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H.A.
