<br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 18, 1946 <br /> <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Building on April 18, 1946 with <br />all members present. <br /> <br />Bids for furnishing a truck were opened. There were two bids one by Flaherty Bros. and one by Elk <br />River Implement Co. as neither bid set a definite delivery date the bids were tabled until later. The <br />Clerk was instructed to notify each bidder that the Village would accept whichever truck could be <br />delivered first. <br /> <br />Two bids for sewer pipe were opened, Elk River Concrete Products Co. and Hancock Concrete <br />Products Co. Motion by Leger and seconded by Kramer that both bids be accepted for concrete <br />pipe. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Leger and seconded by Skellenger that application of R.G. Grey for on and off beer <br />license be granted. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The following building permits were approved: <br />Alfred Steinbardt, Charlotte Berg, Mrs. Flora Martin, Henry J. Belanger, C.B. Kliever, I.J. <br />Lockwood, Charles H. Nogel, Henry J. Belanger. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H.A. Briggs <br />Village Clerk <br />
