<br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 7, 1946 <br /> <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the municipal building on January 7, <br />1946. All members were present. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Davidson. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />The Clerk was instructed to send bills to the Elk River Public Utilities for pumpers salary for the last <br />three months of 1945 and also for expenses in connection with the purchase of the local electric <br />light plant. <br /> <br />Mr. Fred Otto of Faltz, King and Day was present at the meeting and submitted plans and estimates <br />of cost of a diesel engine generating plant for the Village. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Leger and seconded by Skellenger that Dr. A.B. Roeclke be appointed <br />Village Health Officer for the coming year. Motion Carried. <br /> <br />The Clerk gave the results of the recent Village election which was approved by the Council. <br /> <br />Election results: <br />For Mayor: Glenn B. Davidson 33 <br /> Richard Halter 1 <br />For Trustee: Elmer Leger 33 <br />For Justice of the Peace: H.J.
