<br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />August 2, 1945 <br /> <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the Radison Hotel in Minneapolis, <br />Minnesota on August 2, 1945 with all members present. <br /> <br />Winters of Chicago representing the Bar Company met with the Council also attorney Barber and <br />Fred Otto, Engineer of Faltz, King and Day. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion regarding the regulations pertaining to the sale of the Elk River Power <br />and Light Co. a motion was made by Skellenger and seconded by Kramer that the Village offer <br />$50,000 for the total physical inventory of the Elk River and Light Co. including, transmission lines <br />power dam, flowage rights, car, truck and all material and supplies on hand. Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Barber was instructed to draw up the necessary papers and take care of the issuance and sale of <br />the bonds. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H.A.
