<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 7, 1943 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Elk River Village council was held in the Municipal building on June 7, <br />1943. <br />Present were G.A. Bailey, acting Mayor, Ernie Shadick and Elmer Leger, trustees, and A.F. Roeblke, <br />clerk. <br />The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. <br />Ellen Tracy called on the Council regarding her rent and after discussion Ernie Shadick moved and <br />Elmer Leger seconded that village continue payments. <br />The Council decided that an ad to run in the Star News for a lifeguard. <br />Elmer Leger moved and Ernie Shadick seconded that following bills be approved and paid. <br />NW Bell Tel. – May service - $18.35 <br />Bill Belanger – labor streets - $20.00 <br />Daly – Insurance Premium - $79.45 <br />Mrs. G.E.
