<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 90 - ~ <br />RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE SETTING OF THE CITY <br />LANDFILL FEE PURSUANT TO SECTION 605.08 (3) OF THE <br />ELK RIVER CITY CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has the authority to set a <br />Landfill tipping fee pursuant to Minnesota Statutes <br />Section 1158.921i and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River had previously established the <br />Landfill tipping fee at $1.00 per cubic yardi and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Elk River Landfill (ERL) appeared before the Elk <br />River City Council on July 23, 1990, and September 17, <br />1990, and requested a temporary reduction in the <br />Landfill fee to enable the ongoing economic vitality <br />of ERLi and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it to be in the pUblic <br />interest to ensure that ERL continue to meet its <br />financial and environmental obligationsi and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in City Resolution 90-30 and Resolution 90-48, the <br />City temporarily reduced a solid waste tipping fee to <br />.50~ per cubic yardi and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council now deems that it is appropriate to <br />reinstate the previously established Landfill tipping <br />fee at the $1.00 per cubic yard rate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Elk River that the solid waste tipping fee be <br />established at $1.00 per cubic yard to be collected <br />from ERL, effective upon adoption of this resolution. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 15th day <br />of October, 1990. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />) /7 <br />~~;:,~~:t:,~e u' <br /> <br />~ c:t <br /> <br />Sandra A.
