UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU CommissionChris Kerzman– Engineering Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />September 8, 2020 6.1k <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> The IT/OTTechnician has been working to set up laptops and phone system upgrades to <br />allow for staff to better work from home as needed with hybrid school schedules. He <br />has also spent quite a bit of time helping with the commission room updates, planning <br />for the IT needs of the field services building, and working with the City of Elk River on <br />budget costs for next year. <br /> The technology upgrades have been completed in the commission room, and the <br />contractor has trained ERMU staff on the operation of the new equipment. The <br />upgrades look great and staff is excited to start using the room again. <br /> <br /> We are working with the civil consultants on finalizing locations of the electric <br />infrastructure that needs to be moved for the field services facility. There are a few <br />locations wherethe new stormwater system will affect the routing of our cabling. <br /> <br /> Applications were submitted to the City for conditional use permit, easement vacation, <br />preliminary plat, final plat, rezoning, and variance for parking and impervious surface for <br />the field services facility. Our anticipated schedule is that applications will be reviewed <br />by the Planning Commission on September 24 and by the City Council on October 19. <br />We are moving on to the detail design phase with Kodet Archetecural Group, Ltd. and <br />have our next meeting is scheduled for September 23. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />95 <br />
