UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Thomas Geiser – Electric Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />September 8,20206.1h <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Updates <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Installed 3 new residential services, which involves the connection of a secondary line <br />once the customer requests service. <br />Staff is working on moving underground electrical boxesfor the CountyState Aid <br />Highway 12 reconstruction. <br /> The lines and transformer needed for the construction of a wastewater (leachate) <br />conveyance systemon 221stand QuinnStreetareinstalled and energized. With thatin <br />place, we are also installing an underground loop for the landfill. <br /> Work continues on the Edison Street rebuild, which involves replacing the overhead <br />lines for underground. <br />The installation of infrastructure for the MiskeMeadowsSixthAddition is complete. <br />One of the new streetlights intheMiske MeadowsSixth Addition had to be replaced <br />after it was struck by a vehicle. <br /> Staff is working on installing the underground lines for the Minnesota Municipal Power <br />Agency’s Hometown WindPower Turbine at the Youth Athletic Complex. <br />The linesand transformer for the Parkview Grand apartments in Otsegoare installed <br />and energized. <br />The Electric Department completed installationof lines and transformers forthe <br />Mulvaney Point Townhomesdevelopment. <br /> Staff is working with the City to energize their new lighted park signs. <br /> The Electric Department assisted the City and the Downtown Elk River Business <br />Association with hanging banners on Main Street streetlights. <br />The installationof infrastructureand a transformer forthenewCoborn’s grocery store <br />in Otsego is complete. <br />The JarvisStreet rebuild, which improveselectric serviceand capacity for the area, is <br />complete. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />91 <br />
