They had planned to coordinate this as a community construction project.
The Eagle Scout who was planning to do this project decided to take on another project in the
community.

Eric informed the park neighbors on the intended project and the question was asked whether the
portable toilet is necessary and if it could be removed. Most of the neighbors are in favor of removing it.

When BPNP had its first public meeting in 2011, the neighbors were not in favor of a potable toilet and
staff supports this because the park is intended to be a nature preserve.

Financial Impact
The approximate savings to no longer provide a portable toilet at BPNP is $1,445 annually.

Attachments
 Eric Toth Email Request to Permanently Remove Portable Toilet
