Tralle, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 91 - 38 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CLOSING <br />OF A PORTION OF 6TH STREET . <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 17, 1991, before the <br />City Council at the Elk River Public Library on such <br />request after due published and posted notice had been <br />given as ~ell as personal notice to affected property <br />owners by the City Clerk on June 7, 1991, and all <br />persons interested were given an opportunity to be <br />heard; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that it will be in the best interest of the <br />City that the Right-of-way for 6th Street remain <br />Right-of-way, but that a portion of said Right-of-way <br />be closed for street purposes. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br />City of Elk River requests that the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation reconvey the Right-of-way <br />for 6th Street to the City and that portion of 6th <br />Street described as follows be closed and cease its <br />function as a street: <br /> <br />That part of Lewis Street, also known as 6th Street, <br />as dedicated in the plat of W. H. Houlton's Addition <br />to the Village of Elk River according to said plat on <br />file and of record in the office of the County <br />Recorder, Sherburne County, Minnesota, lying Easterly <br />of the Southerly extent of the west line of Block 8, <br />in said W. H. Houlton's Addition to the Village of Elk <br />River to a line parallel with and distant 80.00 feet <br />Easterly of said Southerly extension of the West line. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River <br />this 17th day of June, 1991. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />e <br /> <br /> <br />.,/ :. <br />
