<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 30, 1952 <br /> <br />A special meeting was held at the Municipal Building on June 30, 1952. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> E.A. Parent, Mayor; Harry Dow, R.A. Ryding, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk <br /> <br />The purpose of the meeting was to consider the purchase of fire hose for the Fire Department. <br />Salesmen were presented from Eureka Fire Hose Co and B.F. Goodrich Co. Each quoted a price of <br />$1.51 per foot for double jacketed 2 ½ “ untreated hose we to turn in our old couplings. After some <br />discussion a motion was made by Ryding and seconded by Dow to buy from 500 to 600 feet of <br />similar hose remnants at 80 cents a food with new couplings no piece to be shorter than 30 feet. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H.A.
