<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 17, 1951 <br /> <br />A special meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Sept 17, 1951 for the purpose of taking up <br />the matter of the Revised plat of Walker’s Addition to the Village of Elk River. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> R. A. Ellingson, Mayor; Emil Parent, Dan Bailey, R.A. Ryding, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, <br />Clerk <br /> <br />A motion was made by Bailey and seconded by Ryding to approve the plat of Walker’s Addition, <br />Revised. The motion carried. All voting in favor. <br /> <br />The application of Carl E Lundin for on and off beer license and also cigarette license was approved <br />by the council. <br /> <br />Wm McGregor, accountant, for the Municipal Liquor Store presented a report for the months of <br />June, July and August. There was considerable discussion about the Liquor Store. It is the opinion of <br />the council that the inventory at the liquor store should be reduced during the next few months. <br /> <br />The Council agreed to finish a road in the Patenaude addition as long as part of the road has already <br />been done. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H.A. Briggs <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the Municipal Building on Sept 17, <br />1951 for the purpose of considering the plat of Walker’s Addition, revised. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> R. A. Ellingson, Mayor; Emil Parent, Dan Bailey, R.A. Ryding, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, <br />Clerk <br /> <br />A plat of Walker’s Addition revised was presented and upon motion by Bailey and second by Ryding <br />was approved. All voting in favor. <br /> <br />A delegation from the west part of the village with Lloyd Youse as spokesman asked if anything had <br />been done regarding a sewer for that part of town. They were informationed that no survey had yet <br />been made. <br /> <br />Application for on and off beer license and cigarette license of Carl E Lundin was approved. <br /> <br />The Council agreed to furnish a road in the Patenaude Addition. <br /> <br /> <br />
