VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING September 4, 1951 A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Sept 4, 1951. Members present: R. A. Ellingson, Mayor; Emil Parent, Dan Bailey, R.A. Ryding, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ellingson. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. A delegation of the Fire Department was present. They reported that the oxygen masks were obsolete and can not be used. They felt it was necessary to have two new ones. A motion was made by Bailey and seconded by Briggs to purchase two new oxygen masks for the Fire Department. Motion carried. The clerk was instructed to place an ad in the Star News that the village wish to rent a purchase a new site for the village dump.
