VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING March 6, 1950 A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Mar 6, 1950. Members present: R. A. Ellingson, Mayor; Emil Parent, Dan Bailey, Trustees; H.A. Briggs The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ellingson. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. County Assessor Edward Schwartz and village assessor Leslie Matz were present and there was some discussion about the assessment for this year. The matter of salary was brought up and a motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Parent to set the salary of the village assessor for this year at $495.00. The motion carried. The following building permits were approved: Elmer Leger, Nickerson Bros. The matter of sewer extensions was discussed. A motion was made by Bailey and seconded by Parent that except for petitions already on file all approved sewer projects shall be financed by a charge of actual cost against the property benefited. Carried.
