UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Thomas Geiser – Electric Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />June 9, 2020 6.1h <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Installed 12 new residential services, which involves the installation of a secondary line <br />once the customer requests service. <br /> Staff finished installing a primary underground loop at Cargill Animal Nutrition, which <br />will help reduce the length of outages for their facility. <br /> The electric department worked with the City and Councilmember Wagner on <br />purchasing banner holders for the downtown streetlights. <br /> <br />Staff finishedinstalling the primary underground loop on JarvisStreetand is now <br />working on finishing the overhead rebuild to Highway 10. <br /> <br /> Finished the overhead rebuild on Tyler Street and staff is now working on installing the <br />primary underground feeder line that will tie into it. This infrastructure will support the <br />service growth at Miske Meadows. <br /> <br /> The electric department has temporarily upgraded the transformer at the Gary Street <br />Water Tower to one with a greater capacity to serve the dehumidifiers needed to paint <br />the inside of tower. <br /> <br /> Staff relocated a three phase junction box in the Elk River High School parking lot which <br />needed to be moved for the parking lot upgrade project. <br /> <br /> Relocated a streetlight at Holt Street and 8th Street for the placement of a driveway to a <br />new home. <br /> <br /> Moved two power poles south of the railroad tracks for the Proctor Street upgrade. <br /> <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />148 <br />
