UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Michelle Canterbury– Executive Administrative Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />June 9, 2020 6.1f <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> The annual commissioner self-evaluation will be conducted during the July 14 <br />commission meeting. Questions for the evaluation will be sent out in advance via Survey <br />Monkey. Staff will be emailing out a link to the survey towards the end of June. <br /> Inserts for the June billings include a promotional flyer for Clean Energy Choice for <br />Business, and a Summer Energy Saving Checklist. The Communications Coordinator and <br />Conservation & Key Accounts Manager worked together to develop the new Summer <br />Energy Saving Checklist to help educatecustomers onthe steps they can take to reduce <br />their energy consumption and save money. The flier also spotlights additional ERMU <br />resources that are available for customers wanting to learn more about energy <br />conservation and best practices. <br /> <br /> June social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: summer energy and <br />conservation tips, the irrigation tune-up rebate, National Hydration Day, completion of <br />the Auburn Street water tower rehabilitation project, planting trees and shrubs wisely <br />near underground utility lines, and celebrating new employees and promotions. A <br />notice will also be posted regarding the June commission meeting being held virtually. <br /> <br /> Administration and Communications staff are in the process of analyzing the <br />effectiveness of our social media communication efforts. Our Communications <br />Coordinator put together a detailed report that tracked likes, reach/impressions, breath <br />of audience, and content performance for each of our platforms over the past year. <br />Based on observations taken from the report, staff has developed action steps and <br />strategies to help increase our audience size. We are pleased to report that the overall <br />average increase in audience size across all platforms for the 12-month period was an <br />impressive 20.7%.
