Background/Discussion The property is zoned Planned Unit Development (PUD) where Recreational Uses require a Conditional Use Permit (CUP). The applicant is seeking a CUP to operate a recreational use in the Elk Park Center PUD. They will be in the existing 23,457 square foot space formerly occupied by Office Max. The facility will be open 24 hours and day, 7 days a week. Planning Commission The Planning Commission felt the request was a reasonable use of the property and were pleased to see the space utilized. Staff did not receive any questions or comments prior to the meeting and during the virtual meeting, no one called or emailed expressing concerns for or against the request. Staff has not received any comments since the Planning Commission meeting. The Planning Commission agreed no specific conditions are needed to satisfy the seven standards for a CUP and unanimously recommended approval of the request.
